Success Stories
Creation of Data Warehouse and Analytical and Operational Level Reports
The Challenge:
The existing database was transactional in nature and there were silos of data. The information was not shared across organization. Data for several business processes was not captured properly. Information retrieval was not proper and not at all granular levels. High level analysis was not supported by operational level data.
The Solution:
We designed and developed the data warehouse using SQL Server. We created models for each business process and obtained the data from all various transactional data sources, validated, cleaned and transformed it. A set of SSIS packages were created to manage updates to the data. A brand new secure user interface with reporting facility was provided for users to manage data, view charts, operational level reports, and analytical reports.

Management of Performance Incentive System Overhaul
The Challenge:
Our client needed an enhanced and simplified Performance Incentive Program, under which incentives are given to their customers and credited on their monthly statement automatically. This required a huge overhaul to the existing process.

We studied the architecture of the existing Performance Incentive Program and created design and development specifications for our client team to perform the changes and additions.

We managed the client’s team, which based on the specifications implemented with minimal manpower and resources and without worrying about the design and architectural changes.
Re-engineering XML Import Process Increases Operational Availability, Reliability and Flexibility
The Challenge:
Our client was utilizing Microsoft BizTalk to process several XML files that it received each day. The XML files are broken down into importable data statements in order to store the data in multiple databases. There were two main issues with BizTalk, which caused loss of data, time and resources –
BizTalk wasn’t able to handle the load of files and messages and often timed out BizTalk programming was inflexible
The Solution:
Prowess re-engineered the Import process which was in BizTalk, moved it completely out of BizTalk into an architecture utilizing Sonic Message Queue, C# and SQL.
The Benefits:
Sonic MQ provides users with significant benefits of higher levels of operational availability and reliability as well as reduced development, deployment and administration costs. It eliminates the requirement for expensive hardware and software and third party tools. It ensures that messages are never lost due to software, network, or hardware failure and avoids duplicate messages and out-of-order messages. SQL Server provides a robust platform for database.
